Yes! While we are a sorority originally founded by women in STEM, we welcome all majors; this makes us stronger! We have members studying a wide range of topics, from engineering to art!

Fun fact: one of our founders graduated as an English major! 

AΩE is a professional and social sorority, which means we do place a greater emphasis on professional and leadership-based events. We also choose not to have a house, and are a little smaller than other sororities on campus. We currently have a tight-knit sisterhood of 66 and plenty of fun social events!

Yes! We have many sisters who joined as juniors and seniors-- and they are all amazing!

Our first three general recruitment events are based around getting to know fellow PNMs, active sisters, and A.O.E. as a whole! There are a variety of fun activities, games, and oftentimes snacks to help break the ice!

There are three general events during our first recruitment week, aimed at getting to know potential new members (PNMs). Potential new members are not required to attend all three events, but are required to attend at least two to receive an invite to our Invite-Only the second week. If you are interested in joining but cannot attend multiple events, please contact us!

There are no dues for PNMs during the initial recruitment process, However, if a PNM receives a bid to join A.O.E., they will be subject to dues. Active sisters have dues every semester. We offer scholarships to help members if needed!

We'd love our members to attend as much as they are able, but truly, as much or as little as you'd like!

While participating in events and hanging out with sisters is a great time, we're definitely aware that some people may have very busy semesters. While there are some required events to attend (such as weekly chapter meetings) in order to be an active sister, the overall time commitment is up to you!

As a sorority, we firmly believe in treating everyone equally. Our policy on bullying, harassment, hazing, and other such behaviors is as follows:

"The Sorority will not tolerate or condone any form of abusive behavior on the part of its members, whether physical, mental, or emotional. This includes any actions that are demeaning to women or men..." - Omicron Chapter Bylaws

Please wear whatever you are comfortable in! Our recruitment process does not have a dress code. There is one invitation-only event at the end of the recruitment process that does require a buisness-casual dresscode, but more details on that would be included in your invitation email!
