Recruitment FAQ

Can I join AΩE if I am not an engineering/technical science major?

Yes! We accept members from every major, whether that is engineering, technical science, humanities, or other. You are likely to find a sister in almost every major on campus.

Fun fact: one of our founders graduated as an English major!

What is the Recruitment process like?

There are five events during our Recruitment week, aimed at getting to know potential new members. Potential new members are not required to attend all events, but are suggested to attend at least two to receive an invite to our Invite-Only event after the Recruitment period ends. If you are interested in joining but cannot attend multiple events, please contact us!

Should I attend Recruitment events even if I am unsure about joining?

Yes! Even if you are unsure of joining Alpha Omega Epsilon, we would love to meet you and allow you to learn more about our Chapter.

How much time commitment does AΩE require?

As much or as little as you'd like!

While participating in events and hanging out with sisters is a great time, we're definitely aware that some people may have very busy semesters. While there are some required events to attend (such as weekly chapter meetings) in order to be an active sister, the overall time commitment is up to you!

What is AΩE's policy on misconduct (bullying, harassment, hazing, etc.)?

As a sorority, we firmly believe in treating everyone as equals. Our policy on bullying, harassment, hazing, and other such behaviors is as follows:

"The Sorority will not tolerate or condone any form of abusive behavior on the part of its members, whether physical, mental, or emotional. This includes any actions that are demeaning to women or men..." —Omicron Chapter Bylaws
